Extremely ambitious and brimming with potential, Aurangzeb partly delivers on all its promise thanks to a fairly engrossing cops and gangsters family saga set in Gurgaon. It however suffers from a muddled screenplay, too many characters and subplots and feels a tad overlong. Rishi Kapoor turns in another power-packed performance and Jackie Shroff shows he still has it when given a good role. I wish we’d got to see more of Amrita Singh and Deepti Naval as well. I liked Arjun Kapoor only in parts while Prithviraj really sunk his teeth into a meaty role. In all, a flawed but interesting watch nonetheless.
